Being two relatively smart individuals, surely you underestimate us Gideon.

To be honest, it was more of the intuition one has as friends that brought me here more than anything... [looks away with an obvious melancholic expression]

Age truly is an interesting thing to reflect upon, now that I think about it, [Implying he hadn't spent a sleepless night being tormented by thoughts along these lines.] There I go babbling whimsically again.

[What was it he wanted to talk about indeed, in the first place what did he really want and intend when he contacted them? To catch up? to spend some time with old friends? to remember yesterday? to remember the times, when he felt like a normal person, the short period in his life where there wasn't a constant target painted on his back? to remember happier days?]

[He sighs deeply. No it was none of those.]

[Catching up after almost 15 years would be a bit impossible if not awkward, spending time with them maybe, but he knew that wasn't really something they would do now, not really... and remembering? he could do that just fine by himself, everyday he spent fighting after he had left Ludus was a constant reminder for him of happier days]

Gideon: nothing really... I just... I just wanted to see you both, thats all.

[He finally turns to look at them both, his once blue eyes now seemed to literally dull in color]

Gideon: The first to go is the eyesight they said, then slowly, everything else.

[he looks back at the lake]

Gideon: I just wanted to see you both before that happened I guess... before I can barely make any sense of the world around me. [He gives a small chuckle] I just missed you both is all.

[ Cameron gives pause at that statement, a younger part of him wants to mock. Ask Didier if he's using the proper adjective because Didier's babbling being whimsical feels like a warm shot of espresso flushed through his skin. Warm and excited. It earns him a scoff. And there's a childish part of Cameron that wants to contradict. Quirk a brow and go : 'R e a l l y?'. ]

[ but as far as friends go, they've been mostly fair weather until gideon and didier so it does surprise him. Surprise him that the brevity of their friendship exists THIS far. ]
